22 people were killed due to heavy rains in up, yogi had relief
According to the office of the Help Commissioner, at least 22 people were died in different parts of the state on Thursday due to heavy rain, hailstorms and lightning in many parts of Uttar Pradesh. The office of the Legal Aid Commissioner said that three-three each in the districts of Fatehpur and Azamgarh, two each in Firozabad, Kanpur Dehat and Sitapur districts, Gonda, Amethi, Sant Kabir Nagar and Siddharth Nagar districts and one in Siddharth Nagar district and one person in Ballia, Barabanki, Jaunpur and Unna, Kannaauj, Barabanki, Jaunpur and UN districts are dead. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered to take quick assistance measures and instructed the families of the deceased to immediately distribute the allowable relief of Rs 4 Lakh. He expressed condolences to the grieving families and instructed the officers to properly treat the injured and give permission to the involved. The chief minister said the officers should visit the areas in question and watch the assistance. The chief minister said that in light of the ongoing government’s purchases of wheat, complete care for safe storage of wheat at all purchasing centers, including Mandis. He asked the officials to execute the survey and assess the crop loss and send the report to the government so that further steps can be taken in this regard. He also ordered that drainage should be ranked on priority in the case of weakening. According to the details provided by the office of the Help Commissioner, in addition to the death of 22 people in the state, 45 animals were killed and 15 houses damaged on Thursday.
