Fish production has increased three times in Bihar, the cornerstone of changing agricultural card
The Agricultural Par policy of the Bihar government has changed the picture of the fisheries in the state. Prior to the year 2005, where fish production in the state was only 2.68 lakh metric tons, it increased to 8.73 lakh metric tons in the year 2023-24. It also gave women and young entrepreneurs an opportunity for self -activity. The state government is providing special assistance to cooperatives and self -aid groups associated with fisheries. The work on new schemes is also implementing many schemes to equip fish production smart and technically.
