Ronit Roy says he started a security agency because of hunger and poverty: 'I was written off by the industry'

Actor Ronit Roy has become a household name with his work in television series Kasautii Zindagii Kay. However, things were not so easy for the actor in the industry, and he had to fight alcoholism and poverty early. In an interview with Podcast RedCarpet, the actor remembered how he even started a security agency when he had no work. What Ronit said during the conversation, when Ronit asked what led him to start a security agency, he said it was not because he wanted to diversify his interests. He said, “I’m an honest kind of man, I can only tell you what it was like. It was (the result of) hungry, poverty. Every wonderful step I have taken in my life came from desperation, frustration and poverty. There was a time when my debut film was a silver jubilee, and after that I didn’t have a job. I didn’t choose. To feed myself. What would you do with no money? “My life went into gutter,” he added: “My alcoholism started out of the frustration. After that, everything went south. My life went into the gutter. Somehow the alcohol would come … I would wake up on the 3 ‘bell and then have a kater, it just made things worse. I was written off by the industry, they said he was done. And that’s where it started. On the work front, Ronit was last seen in Farrey.
