Rs 550 Crore has been approved for the preservation of heritage and temple development

The government has approved Rs 550 crore for the preservation of the legacy of the state through the modernization of religious places and the improvement of facilities for dedicated. A government spokesman said: “About Rs 50 crore has been approved for renovating antique temples, forts and archaeological sites. About Rs 37 crore has been approved for developmental works in temples.” He further stated that Rs 56.26 crore for the Chintpurni Temple was approved to promote religious tourism and that the construction of a large complex in the temple took place. He said: “Apart from this, Rs 100-100 crore has been approved for the development of Shri Jwalaji and Sri Naina Devi temples.” The spokesman further said that for the ease of pilgrims in August 2023, a smooth Darshan system was started in the Sri Chintpurni temple. Apart from regular crowd management, special facilities are also provided for the elderly and disabled people. To maintain the holiness of rituals, the priests are given special training. He said: “Recently, 15 priests of the Shri Chintpurni Temple and 10 priests of the Sri Naina Devi Temple took online training by Banaras Hindu university and trained in a phased way and trained priests.” Cultural and religious institutions also provided financial assistance. He further said that the renovation of the historic Bantni castle in Shimla was a historical achievement. He said: “After the inauguration in September 2023, it now has a light-and-sound performance and will soon include a digital museum. About 25 crore calls have been approved for the project.
