Rudraprayag, October 10 (IANS). Secretary of the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand, R Rajesh Kumar, on Friday reviewed the development works, disaster management, progress of district planning and Kedarnath Yatra arrangements conducted by various departments in the auditorium of the district office. At the meeting, the Secretary Costs took information on the damage the disasters needed during the monsoon period and the budget for reconstruction. He sought details on the issues that hang on the government level pending the relevant departments, and ensured the necessary action. In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion on the progress of different schemes with the district magistrate. Rajesh Kumar said he assessed the progress of departmental schemes in every visit. He instructed to act immediately about the proposals pending at the government level. In this succession, Secretary Management Rajesh Kumar made a surprise inspection of the district hospital Rudraprayag. During this, he took information from the patients in OPD about the available treatment and facilities. The operation of the machines installed in the hospital was checked, including the CT scanning machine installed with the support of the World Bank. Rajesh Kumar said that the earlier technical defects were removed in the CT scander machine and that it is now fully operational. Secretary-in-charge Rajesh Kumar said with the media that the progress of the ongoing schemes in health, education, roads, disaster management and other sectors in the district is satisfactory, but in some cases there is a need to accelerate further. He also informed that the food and drug division is strictly acting against banned medicine and syrup sold without prescription across the state. At the same time, in light of the Diwali festival, special instructions were given to the officials to check the quality of food items. The secretary in charge also discussed the Kedarnath Yatra arrangements. He said that all necessary steps are taken for the ease and safety of the passengers. Support will be provided at the government level to further improve the roads, health facilities and other arrangements on the Yatra route. The district magistrate and other departmental officials informed the secretary in the progress of the schemes and sought budget and approval for the pending works.
