Sachet-Parampara denies plagiarism claims about Kriti Sanon's Do Patti Song Raanjhan, Plan Legal Action
The do patti soundtrack is in a plagiarism dispute, with KMKZ claiming that Raanjhan has copied his work. The composers Sachet parampara rejected the claims as unfounded and confirmed that they were pursuing legal action for defamation, claiming to have evidence of their original creation. The duo was trapped in the defense of their decade -long reputation, claiming that they had never relied on plagiarism. The hit track Raanjhan of Kriti Sanon and Kajol’s film Do Patti ended up in a plagiarism after international music producer Kmkz claimed that the composition was lifted from one of his beats. In response to the controversy, the composer Duo Sachet Tandon and Parampara Thakur-Beter known as Sachet-Parampara rejected the allegations and called them ‘unfounded’ and confirmed that legal action is now underway. In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Parampara made clear that the claims were unfounded. “Whoever says they produced the music for Raanjhan makes false allegations for publicity. We have already submitted the original files and piano counts to YouTube, Spotify and other streaming platforms, proving that the song is our creation. The fark scale progress is generic – any composer can use the chords to build a cut, ‘she said. She also revealed that KMKZ’s request to take the song off by streaming platforms was rejected after the files were reviewed. The duo added that in their decade -long career they “never relied on plagiarism”. “Our attorneys brought this case to court. We put a defamation case against these claims that our goodwill in the industry is damaging. Misleading actions like this will not be tolerated,” Parampara emphasized. What did KMKZ claim? The controversy began when KMKZ posted a video on Instagram accusing T series of uploading a partner he uploaded two years ago. He claimed that his piano loop was used in Raanjhan without credit or payment, despite the track that collected more than 290 million streams on Spotify. “I produced the number one song in India and didn’t even know about it,” he said in the cut. He added that he had reached out to both the label and the artists several times, but received zero response. KMKZ further wrote: ‘Producers are being ripped off all the time, but 300 million streams and number one on Billboard are crazy. I demand a plaque. ‘ Not the first controversy, it is not the first allegation of plagiarism facing the do patti soundtrack. Earlier this year, Kolkata-based producer Rajarshi Mitter accused the team of copying his composition for the track Maiyya and even serving a legal notice.
