Patna, September 30 (IANS). Kesariya meeting seat in the East Champaran district of Bihar comes under the East Champaran Lok Sabha Kieskiese division. Kesariya meeting seat was reserved for the general category and originated in 1951. After demarcation in 2008, the new form came to light, which includes Kesariya block as well as parts of sang disaster and Kalyanpur block. Kesariya’s name contains historical and cultural identity due to the world -famous Buddhist stupa. It is the same place associated with the last journey of Lord Buddha. Geographically, this area is about 40 km from Motihari. The nearest railway station is Chakia, located at a distance of about 25 kilometers. This area is mainly rural and agricultural-dominated. Paddy, wheat and maize are the most important crops here. There is a shortage of large industries, but the amount of small trade and the money coming by migrant workers supports the local economy. There are problems regarding infrastructure and rural road connection. There were 2,67,733 voters registered here in the 2020 elections, which in the 2024 attracted Sabha election to 2,72,436. According to the Electoral Commission, 1 936 voters went out of the area after 2020. The average voting percentage on this seat was between 55 and 57. Urban voters are less than 5 percent. Kesariya seat has so far been named 17 times in election history. The largest number of these was recorded 6 times by the Communist Party of India (CPI), while Congress had four times success. Janata Dal (U) and his predecessor Samata party have won 3 times, 2 times RJD, and Janata Party and BJP once won. The competition in the recent election is multi -oriented. In 2020, JDU candidate Shalini Mishra RJD candidate Santosh Kushwaha defeated 9.227 votes. LJP and RLSP also obtained remarkable votes. In the 2024 Sabha election, BJP leader Radha Mohan Singh Rajesh Kumar (VIP) defeated Rajesh Kumar (VIP) in Kesaria with 20.892 votes. The specialty of Kesariya Vidhan Sabha is that voters usually give clear mandate here. The 2020 election was an exception in this sense when the victory difference was only 9.227 votes. The NDA alliance is in a strong position here in a strong position. Although the RJD Congress Alliance is also struggling, it will have to further strengthen its voting bank to win. At the same time, the Jan Suraj party of Prashant Kishore can also affect some parts, although what will be the effect on the voting comparison, it is currently not clear. -Ians DSC/
