Desta Arya was born in the Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. His father Seth Chhajjumal was a rich businessman who studied him in Kolkata. The dream of freeing the country took him to the Rani Jhansi Regiment, where he started the fight by joining Netaji’s army. He was married to Srikanth Jairanjan Das, CID officer of the British government, but the thinking of both was very different. When Srikanth Netaji was chased and attacked, Nekaa killed her own husband. He saved Netaji’s life and faced himself. He was captured in Andaman and Nicobar, where he was badly tortured, but never informed his companions. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose recognized her bravery and declared her the first female detective of Azad Hind Fauj. Nekda helped Subhash Chandra Bose’s Azad Hind Fauj a lot by gathering a lot of important information. Nekda remained in oblivion after independence.
