In the Sultanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, an advocate was shot dead Sunday night, causing sensation in the area. After receiving information about the incident, police immediately began the investigation and questioned a suspect in custody. Right now, the motive behind the murder is not clear. The description of the incident, according to police, at about 23:00 Sunday night, Mahendra Kumar Maurya, 42, who was a resident of the Marui Kishundaspur village and a lawyer who advocated in the local Tehsil was the irrigation of his farm. Meanwhile, some unknown attackers broke on them and fired several bullets. Mahendra Kumar Maurya died on the spot after he was shot. After the incident, the police team immediately reached the place and sent the body to the postmortem. This incident created fear and concern in the entire area. Police action and investigation spoke to PTI and police -superintendent of police, Kunwar Anupam Singh, said that the police in the first investigation began to act immediately with the seriousness of the incident. He said: “The incident happened around 11pm. The deceased Mahendra Kumar Maurya advocated in the local Tehsil.” He further informed that a person was arrested and questioned in the murder case. Several teams were also established to identify and arrest the other accused, who work seriously. Police superintendent ensured that the case would be resolved soon. The statement of the Barie Association, Akhilesh Upadhyay, secretary of Kadipur Bar Association, condemned this notorious murder. He said the attack on people related to any form of crime and especially lawyers such as advocates will not be tolerated. Akhilesh Upadhyay demanded that the culprits be arrested as soon as possible and take the strongest steps so that the advocates and the general public should remain confident about safety. The police investigating the case in the case behind the murder have not yet brought a clear reason behind the murder. However, the police are working on different potential angles, including things related to professional life, personal enmity or any other reason. A senior police officer said security arrangements were tightened to prevent tension and unrest in the area and that the suspects’ search for the suspects was taking place.
