SDOP Pooja Pandey jailed...appeared in court with son in her lap, not granted bail, madam caught in Hawala robbery case
The court jailed all the accused in the Seoni Hawala Money Heist, one of the most high-profile cases of Madhya Pradesh. All the 11 policemen arrested for looting ₹3 crore through hawala money were produced in court on Friday after completing their two-day police custody. SDOP Pooja Pandey appeared with her little child in her lap. During the trial, the sessions court rejected the bail applications of all the accused. After this the court ordered to send all the policemen in judicial custody to jail. The entire incident between Katni and Seoni: Actually, the entire incident is said to be related to the Hawala network running between Katni and Seoni. According to reports, when the hawala money started from Katni and reached Seoni via Jabalpur, a secret nexus between some local police officers and employees was revealed. Investigation also revealed that a well-known hawala dealer from Jabalpur had given intelligence to the police team deployed in Seoni. Based on this information, the police swung into action at night, stopped the hawala vehicle and allegedly seized the money. ₹2.96 crore seized The incident took place when Sohanlal Parmar, a businessman from Jalna, Maharashtra, was carrying about ₹2.96 crore in his car MH 13 EK 3430. The police found the car between 1 and 2 am. Allegedly, the police took the businessman and his associates to a nearby forest, beat them and took away the money. However, he was later released. The next morning, the victim filed a complaint at the police station, after which the case came into limelight. 11 policemen including SDOP Pooja Pandey arrested. Initially, the then SDOP Pooja Pandey denied the robbery, but the investigation team formed by DIG Rakesh Kumar Singh found serious irregularities. Following this, Jabalpur zone IG Pramod Verma suspended nine policemen, and the then DGP Kailash Makwana suspended SDOP Pooja Pandey and ordered the crime branch to investigate in detail. The investigating agencies are now focusing on the hawala network spread in Katni, Jabalpur, Balaghat and Seoni. According to sources, the role of an officer of Balaghat Hawk Force and a constable of Jabalpur Crime Branch in the investigation is also considered suspicious and they are being questioned. During the hearing on Friday, the District Court rejected the bail applications of all 11 policemen. These include SDOP Pooja Pandey, SI Arpit Bhairam, Head Constables Makhan Singh and Rajesh Janghela, Constable Ravindra Uike, Manager Ritesh, Gunman Kedar, Gunman Sadaphal, Constables Yogendra, Neeraj and Jagdish. A case has been registered against all of them under sections 310(2) (robbery), 126(2) (wrongful restraint), 140(3) (kidnapping) and 61(2) (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code at Lucknow police station. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav himself became active. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav took a strict stand on the entire incident. “The law in Madhya Pradesh is the same for everyone, irrespective of their rank or position,” he said. The Chief Minister tweeted that strict disciplinary and legal action will be taken against all involved in the Seoni Hawala case. He also reiterated that those who disturb law and order will not be spared. Hawala network spreading in Madhya Pradesh! As the investigation progresses, links to the hawala network across the state are emerging. Investigating agencies believe this is not a single incident but part of an organized hawala syndicate spread across several districts. Security agencies and intelligence agencies are now probing every link to reach the root of this entire network.
