Guwahati, April 27 (IANS). Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Sunday that police arrested at least 19 people in Assam for the alleged ‘pro -Pakistan’ attitude on social media and other platforms. He calls him a ‘traitor’, he said, ‘a total of 19 citizens were placed behind bars.’ It has recently been arrested in Barpeta and Cachar districts. The chief minister said Zarif Ali was arrested from Barpeta, while Imran Hussain and Komar Uddin were detained from the Cachar district. The most prominent among the 19 arrested is the Aiudf -Party Mla Aminul Islam. He was the first person arrested for “Pakistan’s support” in the state. Aiudf Mla Islam of Assam’s constituency of the thing meeting was arrested on Thursday on a charge of high treason following his inflammatory statement on the terror attack in Pahalgam in Kashmir, in which more than 20 people lost their lives. In a video clip broadcast on social media, Islam can be heard in which he claims that Pahalgam and Pulwama attacks are part of the ‘government’s conspiracy’. He said: “Six years ago, when the RDX explosion took place in Pulwama and 42 soldiers were tortured, I said that the Pulwama explosion took place under the conspiracy of the central government, and it was a conspiracy to win the Lok Sabha election in 2019.” He said that what happened in Pahalgam is that the BJP promotes that the terrorists asked for religion and caught fire on Hindus and left Muslims. He said: “But the victims said the terrorists were on fire without asking someone’s name, and I suspected that the Pulwama attack in which RDX was used could be related.” He said the same is the same connection behind Pahalgam. -Ians Sch/CBT Share this story Tags
