Judge Bhushan Ramkrishna Gavai is likely to become the next Chief Justice of India, and reportedly on April 14. Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna wrote to the Union Legislation Ministry on Wednesday, named Justice Br Gavai, the second senior judge of the Supreme Court, as his successor. Judge Gavai, 64, will be elevated as Judge of the Supreme Court on May 24, 2019 as 52nd Chief Justice of India to the retirement of present -day CJI Khanna, and will remain in office until November 23, 2025. Justice Khanna will retire on May 13, 2025. Notaly, Justice Br Gavai will also retire this year. The Supreme Court judge will retire on November 23, 2025. The retirement age of the Supreme Court judges is 65 years. Who is Justice Br Gavai? -Justice Br Gavai was born on November 24, 1960 in Amravati.
