A shocking incident came to light on Saturday afternoon from the Arthur Road Jail, where a prison officer who resolved the dispute between the prisoners was attacked by the prisoner. Officer Chavan was seriously injured in this attack. On his head there is a deep injury near the right eye. The injured prison officer filed a complaint with the NM Joshi Marg police station after the incident. Police have now started investigating the whole case. Mumbai police said the accused was identified as Afan Saifuddin Khan. He brutally beat Mohammad Imtiaz Istiak Khan, another prisoner in the same prison. After receiving the information, the officers calmed down the dispute between the Chavan prisoners and Afan questioned why he beat Imtiaz. Meanwhile, Afan suddenly attacks his head and hits his head on the head of the prison officer. Chavan was severely injured in this attack and was immediately admitted to the nearest government hospital. According to the information, Afan, even after the attack, remained aggressive and continued to abuse. He also hampered the operation of the prison administration.
