Sensex ends 733 points lower, investors lose nearly £ 7 lakh crore on a day - 10 most important highlights from the stock market today

The stock market today: The benchmark indices – BSE Sensex and Nifty 50 – expanded their loss of loss on Friday, September 26 to a sixth straight session, as Fresh Trump tariffs on pharmaceutical products and persistent foreign portfolio investors (FPI) that are very much sold on the market sentiment. Trump’s fresh rates on Pharma, along with the H-1B Visa Fee increase of last week and Fed’s cautious attitude about rate cuts, caused heavy sale in it and caused pharmaceutical stocks, and indexes dragged lower. Added to the pressure, FPIs expanded their sales with £ 13,450 crore outflow in September. The Sensex closed the day at 80,426.46, with 733.22 points or 0.90 percent lower, while the Nifty 50 dropped at 24,654.70, 236.15 points or 0.95 percent. In general, the Sensex lost 2.66 percent this week, while the wider Nifty crashed by 2.65 percent. Broader markets were also in contemporary offers.
