Announced at the Ongoing Star Wars Celebration, Disney Revealed That Sith Lord and Dual-Lightsaber-Wielding Dathomirian Zabrak, Darth Maul, Will Lead His Own Animated Show In Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord.

Announced to a celebratory crowd during the final moments of the panel spotlighting the 20th anniversary of Lucasfilm Animation, the first footage from Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord was shown, and revealed that the animated series will be set after Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The series will follow maul as he trains an apprentice and “plots to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the empire.”

Actor Sam Whitewer, who has voiced the Sith Lord Several Times before and has now become synonymous with the character, will reprise the role for Maul: Shadow Lord. Whitewer was in attendance at Star Wars Celebration, taking to the stage to reveal his return. Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord is now in Production and is scheduled to debut on Disney+ in 2026.
