Shivraj Singh Chauhan, an outbreak of tikari disease on pomegranate crops in Rajasthan, gave instructions for immediate examination

The reports of crops affected by various diseases, including Tikari disease in the Balotra district and the surrounding pomegranate areas of Rajasthan, Union agriculture and the well -being of the well -being and rural development, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, has seriously investigated. Pomegranate is an important cash crop in dry areas of Rajasthan, but the growing outbreak of disease has raised the concerns of farmers. The Union Minister of Agriculture has instructed the Director General of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to visit the areas concerned immediately by visiting the affected areas. This team will intensively study the causes of Tikari diseases and other diseases spread in pomegranate apples. The currently adopted criteria for disease and horticultural techniques used by the farmers will also be evaluated. Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that a comprehensive action plan would be drawn up based on the ICAR scientists investigation report. This action plan will include scientific pruning of plants, effective measures for the management of disease, proper use of fertilizers and pesticides, and the promotion of modern horticultural techniques. He says that this scheme will not only help control diseases, but will also help to take the quality of pomegranate to the export level. To provide relief to farmers, a joint team of experts from the Central Dry Horticulture Institute (Bikaner), the National Pomegranate Research Center (NRC, Solapur), Central Dry Stream Research Institute (Cajri, Jodhpur) and relevant agriculture. This team will provide training and technical assistance to farmers in affected areas for disease management, advanced farming techniques and pomegranate production for export quality. Shivraj Singh emphasized that the outbreak of diseases on pomegranate crops can only be controlled by collective efforts. For this, the Department of Agriculture and Horticulture of the Central and State Government, Research Institute and Krishi Vigyan Kendras will work together. Their goal is to properly solve the problems of farmers, improve the productivity and quality of their crops and increase their income.
