Shock to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman of the Court, rejected a petition in the defamation case - the blasphemous case of the slander of the case rejected Nirmala Sitharaman's plea against Somnath Bharti
Jagran correspondent, New -Delhi. The Court of Additional Chief Law Magistrate (ACJM) in Rouse Avenue rejected the petition of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. He demanded to stop Somnath Bharti, a MLA in the AAM AADMI party government, to become the lawyer for his wife Lipika Mitra in the defamation case. Additional Chief Law Magistrate (ACJM) Paras Dalal said that man and woman in the eyes of the law are separate persons and that their financial interests may be different. It is not considered wrong for a man or woman to fight or defend each other. The court said Sitharaman could watch the hearing, but her arguments would not be heard until the complainant and witnesses were questioned. It is argued on behalf of Sitharaman that Bharti can be called as a witness in the case, which can lead to conflict of interest. At the same time, Lipika Mitra argued that his Bharti would not make a witness. At the same time, the court also rejected the petition of Clerk Mitra to renounce the fine of Rs 5,000. Lipika Mitra accused Sitharaman of making derogatory remarks during the Lok Sabha election in 2024. Also read: How can SSC issue such an order?
