Shooting after fight in Delhi's Mukundpur, three arrested
Delhi, October 18 (IANS). An incident of firing came to light late on Friday night in D Block Mukundpur-1 under Bhalswa Dairy Police Station area of national capital Delhi. As soon as the information was received, the station in charge reached the spot and arrested three people. Preliminary investigation revealed that Jatin and his friends had a fight with a person named Ankit at Machhi Bazar Chowk Mukundpur Pur on Friday night at 9.30 pm. After the fight, Ankit along with his associates Ayush, Raja, Shikhar alias Kabariya and Manish alias Totla came to Jatin’s house on two bikes and opened fire in the air. As soon as the sound of the bullet was heard, panic spread throughout the area. People closed the doors of their houses. Police found four empty cartridges on the ground during inspection of the incident site. Based on the statement of complainant Jatin, an FIR was lodged at the Bhalswa Dairy Police Station and immediate action was taken, the suspects were identified and the main accused Ankit along with Manish and Shikhar were arrested. Police teams were sent to nab the remaining absconding accused Ayush and Raja. The police officer said CCTV footage and preliminary investigation revealed that firing took place after a fight. Three accused have been arrested and are being questioned. A team has been constituted to arrest the absconding accused, he will also be arrested soon. In the same sequence, on Thursday, unknown assailants opened fire on a car near Johari Farm Road, Drain under Karawal Nagar Police Station area of North East District. In this incident, a person who was riding in the car was hit by two bullets, who was admitted to the GTB hospital in a critical condition. According to the police, initial investigation confirmed that around 7 rounds of bullets were fired at the spot, while according to the local people, the attackers fired 10 to 12 rounds. –IANS SAK/PSK Share this story Tags
