Signing a cooperation protocol between comprehensive health insurance and the room of health care providers – ryan

Alaa Abdel Majid, head of the Health Care Chamber and the Private Hospitals of the Federation of Egyptian Industries, announced the signing of a joint cooperation protocol between the Comprehensive Health Insurance Authority and the Chamber of Health Care Services.

Abdel Majid said – during the Chamber’s meeting – that this protocol aims to increase awareness of the comprehensive health insurance system to motivate the private sector to participate in the system and cooperate in the areas of training of all kinds.

He noted that the strengthening of the private sector’s involvement in the health insurance system has been discussed, especially with the start of the second stage, which includes the governorates of North Sinai, Matrouh, Damietta, Kafr El -Sheikh and Minya with the possibility of a million governorates to join during the same stage, which constitutes a strong boost for private hospitals to join the system.

Abdul Majeed added that there is also continuous coordination with the Public Authority for Accreditation and Health Supervision to spread awareness of quality and accreditation standards, noting that the Chamber is in the process of organizing an expanded training course during the coming period aimed at electronic linking and introducing hospitals, medical centers, laboratories and care units with accreditation standards that must be available to join the health insurance system in a way that ensures the readiness of service providers in the private sector to participate effectively.

The course also includes some of the provinces expected to join the comprehensive health insurance system.

Abdul Majeed stressed that the joining of the private sector is not limited to hospitals, but also includes contributing to the establishment of a sufficient number of primary health care units, which are the first defense line in providing medical service within the comprehensive insurance system.

He explained that the Chamber recently completed a specialized training course on the “Timos” system, which is the gateway to enrollment in medical tourism, and the course witnessed an effective presence of a number of member hospitals.

He also pointed out that the Chamber is preparing to launch another training course on the “Jahar” system approved by the Accreditation and Health Control Authority to assess the quality of health facilities, and the course will include the hospitals of Alexandria Governorate and the governorates of Kafr El -Sheikh and Beheira.

Abdul Majeed continued: “We believe in the importance of integration with state institutions, and for this a comprehensive program was established in cooperation with the accreditation body through the participation of the agent of the Chamber in the authority’s board of directors with the aim of preparing standards for organ transplantation.

The Chamber also participates in the Quality and Safety Committee, as it is an active partner in it to ensure the highest quality and safety standards within private hospitals.

In the context of parallel, Abdul Majeed praised the recent amendments to the Tax Law, which included important facilities for health facilities, stressing that the Chamber continues to receive complaints of its members in this regard through its representative of the Tax Committee in the Federation of Industries in order to coordinate to solve any problems facing the sector in this vital file.

Abdul Majeed concluded that the Chamber supports all initiatives and efforts that enhance the role of the private sector in providing an integrated and high -quality health service, noting that the new session of the Chamber’s Board of Directors that begins the end of this year will witness ambitious plans to increase the participation of private sector in national health initiatives, especially the comprehensive health insurance system.
