Sitting case head in Banten slaps the student to smoke until it is processed as inactive
Jakarta – The principal (Kepsek) of a public high school in Cimarga, Lebak Regency, Banten, slapped a student smoked. The principal is now undergoing the process of being disabled because of his actions. Acting Head of the Banten Province Education and Culture Service (Kadisdikbud), Lukman, explained the problem of the matter. He said that there were initially students who smoked behind the school. “The student initially smoked behind the school, the principal discovered it. The principal then reprimanded and reminded him,” Lukman said Tuesday (14/10/2025). It’s a normal thing, maybe yes, we don’t know for sure,” he said. To the Department of Education, the perpetrator acknowledged that he had touched the student’s face. However, Lukman did not confirm whether the movement was a hard blow or not. “But according to the principal’s confession, he did a place (the student’s head). I don’t know if it was difficult or not, but his confession was true,” he said. According to Lukman, the principal is currently being processed at the Banten Province Education and Culture Office. The principal and several other parties were called for questioning. “Later we will make everything clear, from the principal, teachers, students, to the committee,” he said. Lukman emphasized that the principal was not officially disabled. He said the process would take place at the Regional Civil Service Agency (BKD). “Don’t call it disabled yet. We are still awaiting the results of BKD. Our task is just to perform an initial BAP, then the results are presented to BKD,” he said. “Later, BKD will determine whether he should return as a teacher, continue to serve as principal or take other steps,” he said. Lukman called on all parties in the educational environment to fulfill the rules. According to him, there are boundaries that educators need to maintain to provide guidance to students. “We have provided guidelines, which are allowed the limits and which are not allowed. It is a measure of principals, teachers and teaching staff to provide guidance to students,” he said. Banten Governor Andra Soni also replied.
