What are the rights of parents in this bill and how can parents become part of this historical change? Parents also received detailed information on all these aspects. In this dialogue program, about 200 parents of Janakpuri discussed the Ministerial Bill with the Minister and also took detailed information on many aspects of the bill. The parents also gave many important proposals related to the bill to the Minister of Education and urged the Minister to resolve their concerns about the bills to solve this concern by giving time in this regard soon. The Minister of Education assured the parents that all the children of capital will now receive quality education and that no child will be deprived of financial reasons. He said that private schools are needed for Delhi, but transparency and accountability in determining fees is also mandatory. The Minister of Education told the parents to the dialogue program that the Bill ‘Delhi School Education (transparency in fee determination and regulation) was approved by the meeting by 2025′. This bill will ensure transparency in determining fees by prohibiting the will of private schools, strong participation of parents and veto rights on fees’ increase. In this bill, a provision has been made that if any school increases the fees without the government’s permission, it will also have to pay double fine for returning the amount of Rs 1 to 10 lakh and not return the additional recovery amount. Equal action has been made for all schools by providing powers such as SDM to the Director of Education. The minister said the previous governments did not bring any transparency into the education sector, nor a strong system and the direct legislation were made. Those who called themselves the father of the education revolution did only alcohol fraud. Our government has drafted this bill by discussing with parents and many education students, which will stop commercialization of education and also protect the dreams of children. He told the parents that in the process of determining the fees of private schools, parents and other stakeholders will have direct participation and role. Not only will there be transparency to determine fees, but the parents will have no burden of fee. The minister said the parents sent their children to a private school because the previous government did not improve education in the name of ‘education revolution’, just by showing advertising, people confused people. He said that if there were better classes, environment and facilities in government schools, no parent paid their child’s monthly fees of £ 10,000. There will be many stakeholders to resolve fees in the new legislation, such as parents, students, teachers, non-educational staff and school management and government representatives. Ashish Sood made it clear that the fees of only 300 schools in 1700 private schools were established in Delhi due to the 1973 law. But with this new law, all private schools came under the fees. In terms of the new process, the deadline has now also been decided as the decision of the committee by July 15, the District Level decision by July 30 and the final decision by September. If there is no decision within 45 days, the matter will go to the Appeals Committee. About the author Rakesh Ranjan Kumar Rakesh Ranjan Kumar has over ten years of experience in digital journalism.
