New -Delhi, September 17 (IANS). There are many organs in our body that appear on the front, and we immediately understand their work, but some organs do very important work, even while they are quiet. One such part is the pancreas. According to Ayurveda, the pancreas controls both digestion and vitality. This little organ plays behind the stomach in the stomach and near the small intestine plays such a big role in our body that someone can be surprised to know. The most important thing with the pancreas is that it plays a double role. It makes hormones like endocrine organ and also prepares digestive juices such as exocrine organ. It helps to digest protein, carbohydrates and fat by making about one and a half liter of digestive juice daily. In addition, the pancreas also controls the level of blood sugar (blood sugar) by making insulin and glucagon hormones. This is why it is directly related to diabetes. The beta cells found in IT form insulin and when these cells are damaged, there is a shortage of insulin in the body and the risk of diabetes is increasing. The pancreas is gradually weakened and its effect is seen late. Habits such as wrong eating, junk food, tension, alcohol and smoke directly affect its functioning. Not only that, the cancer of the pancreas is also considered one of the most dangerous diseases, because its detection is very difficult to know at the first stage. This organ is directly linked to the small intestine and the enzymes made by it serves to digest food in the duodenum. The pancreas has no stock of insulin, but makes insulin every time. This is why it is considered a very important part for diabetes patients. The digestive juice made from the pancreas breaks the food with the bile coming from the gallbladder and the amilage enzymes give carbohydrates into glucose and give the body energy immediately. In Ayurveda, the pancreas is linked to fire and it is said that when the fire stays strong, the body stays healthy. If the pancreas becomes weak, diabetes, digestive diseases and many other disorders can occur. To keep the pancreas healthy, basil, take, giloy, fenugreek, turmeric, black pepper, amla and bitter gilbas are considered very beneficial. In addition, yoga, pranayama and balanced lifestyle increase the functionality of the pancreas. At the same time, it is also necessary to keep distance from sweets and junk food, as they place the load directly on the pancreas. -Ians Pim/DSC
