Snapback -mechanism told a net to ban Iran, target Europe
United Nations, September 28 (IANS). Russia warned Iran from the US match after a ban on nuclear weapons. Iran has already registered a major objection to France, Britain and Germany’s decision to implement the Snapback mechanism. Now, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavarov said that the Snapback system was used as a trap to ban Iran. In fact, if the Iran breaks the 2015 nuclear deal under the Snapback system, the United Nations restrictions will be implemented within 30 days. Lavarov told reporters on Saturday that Snapback mechanism was included in the United Nations Security Council proposal, 2231, which supported the Iran Nuclear Negotiation in Iran. The agreement was reached after direct discussions between Iranian Foreign Minister and the then US Secretary of State. He said Snapback mechanism is not a general system. This allows any side to vote to relax the restrictions, and the security councilor with veto may unilaterally stop it, which opens the way for repayment of restrictions. Lavrov was formally involved in the conversation for the agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Action Plan (JCPOA). He said Iran agreed to this, as the US never expected to withdraw from this agreement in 2018. According to the report of the Xinhua news agency, Europe began cutting off its obligations to the agreement rather than demanding the US to return to its obligations after the US was removed from the nuclear deal. Lavrov said the Snapback system was created as a net for Iran. This is another proof that Iran did not intend to violate its obligations to the nuclear deal. The United Nations Security Council did not pass the proposal set by China and Russia on Friday, which would expand JCPOA and proposal 2231. Warning against Iran’s restoration of restrictions against Iran, Lavrov said it would give a great blow to the credibility and authority of the United Nations. Lavarov said on Saturday: “We want to expand the Iran nuclear agreement without adding anything to all its aspects so that it stays in effect until we hope we can continue the conversation.” He said Iran is still ready to negotiate with three European partners of the nuclear deal through intermediaries. Iran recently died with E3, but from the beginning the trio of European countries were looking for an excuse to ban Iran. Both Iran and Russia say that the withdrawal of the restrictions is legally invalid, as the E3 was unable to implement this mechanism. The president of Iran says that America wants to release us three months from the restrictions instead of handing us all rich uranium to us, but it is not acceptable to us. He said that the enemy believes that he can cause problems for Iran by restrictions and snapbacks, but that such problems make us strong and stronger. -Ians BC/AS
