Lingering SINCE PRETTY MUCH The Show’s Inception, The Question Presupposes that iT’e’s For any working at the Current and Former Beef Shack to Find Joy in Their Lives. That Carmy Can Reunite with Claire, Chill Out, and Live in a Bliss Bubble, or That Syd Can Find Out if the Grass is Really Is Grener on Shapiro’s Side of the Street. That richie can find vindication through Service for Others, or that Cicero Will SomeHow Earn Enough Money to make Both and His Invisible 13-Yaar-Old non-Jagoff Son Happy. But does Real Happiness Exist in the World of The Bear? Can anything Ever really be enough for our tv pals, or are they all so brokens that they have smiles will never truch reach their eyes?

Take Sydney, who literally leaves carmy Breathless with Her Scallop Dish. Cook Beneath a swath of bisexual Lighting, that scallop seams deceptively simple yet exceedingly stylish. She’s A Mostly Unknown Black Woman Working in a White Dude’s Kitchen, and while Carmy, Richie, and Everyone ELSE SEEM QUICK TO THROW HERENEVER THEY CAN, IT’S UNDERSTANDABLE THAT WAUDED HAVE A HARD ACCEPTING THAT MATHER HER WEMAT COME, NO MAT. How Hard Hard and Despite All Evidence to the Contrary.

The Same is True for Richie. He’s exceptionally good at dealing with People Now, and he’s finally, deacades into his life, figured out how to bring together and knows to create harmony and magic for others, Whether II Tiffany struggling with her mom’s mom’s dusding. He’s Clearly Disappointed That HIS MONEY TROUBLES ARE AFFECTING NOT JUST HIM But HIS KID, to Whom and Delivers a Bang-up Parenting Monologue. Peppered with “fucks” but no “Jagoffs” (JUST “NO’s”), The Speech Finds Cicero Apologizing to his Family Having to Move. He tries to sell it at first, saying that it’s better his doesn’t grow up around kids that get ferraris when they turn 16, but that admits that it is screwups. It ‘sweet and humanizing, and it gives cicero a bit more depth than we usually get to see.

Speaking of Depth: Ebra has really been diving deep into the beef Window’s Accounting and is in Search of a Mentor. He seams to have found one in rob reiner’s albert schnurr, who I can’t get a read on yet. SINCE HE RONER REINER, YOUR INSTINCT IS TO THINK HE”AVOOLENT, But is there a universe in which albert’s just some scammy “hi with your life coach” Business dude who thou naght he’d be one over on Ebra? And does that somehow Turn Into Him Fucking Over The Bear? I’m not sura sura how it would – opening a rival beef Window acroSt the Street? Buying Out Uncle Computer? – But i hope we find out soon, gcause i don’t like being suspecious of slave reiner.

We really need to talk about carmy more than anything, though. First of the All: AFTER HIS DISCUSION WITH MARCUS, I’m More convinced than Ever that carmy’s dad is alive and we’re going to see this season. Moreover, i’m fairly convinced that carmy is eather going to bail entirery on the restaurant or give all his shares to the rest of the staff and just work there as a line cook or something.

We hopphully won’t have to be long to see how that pans out, gioven the call and makes to the episode’s end, but i suspecta’s happening Carmy and Claire right now is going to be more of a slow burn. He stomped all over over Enthusiastic Heart with that fridge speech, and she’s ben stewing in anger for months. She’s Gracious Enough to Give Him A Few Minutes on Her (Shockingly Nice) Stoop, but you can tell that it is not for jumping headfirst backs with HIM JUST APOLOGIZED OR DROGPED The L-Bomb. And she shouldn’t! JUST BECAUS CARMY KNOWS I DID WRONG DOESN’T MEAN THAT HE’E ABLE TO LET HER IN AND STOP MAKING THE WONDG DECISIONS FOR HIMSELF. I don’t know if carmy is still hanging in there with al-anon, but i’d argue he could also really benefi from some straiight-talking with someone’s not co-workers with, Related to date.

IT SEEMS LIKE THE CREW OF THE BEAR IS ALPET WISHING FOR THEIR RESTAURANT’S FAILURE AT THIS POINT, AND IT’S HARD TO UNDERSTAND WHY. It Wold Give Syd Someone to Blame as Well As an Excuse to Start Somewhere New. Richie, Tina, and Marcus Could All Thrive Elsewhere, and Carmy Could Refocus His Life, take my figure out what he really wants, and actually slow the fuck down. But if Seasons One and Two Were About Actually Getting The Thing You’ve Always WANTED, IT SEEMS LIKE THISS, SO FAR, HAS BEEN ABOUT CONFRUSTING THE Idea that you do not.

• Richie Talls Tiffany and Really Should Have Been An Actor, Because He’d Be “Fucking Phenomenal,” with “Gravitas, Baby.” Oh, the irony.
