Solar Roof Top Plant erected at 42 thousand places in Western Madhya Pradesh

Bhopal, September 29 (IANS). Top plants of the solar power were erected at 42 thousand places in the western region of Madhya Pradesh. More than 1,000 consumers of Malwa-Nimar have erected plants in Seva Pakhwade. A 180 crores subsidy was given to more than 24 thousand consumers under Prime Minister Suryagh Free Power Scheme, which was implemented last year. Pradyuman Singh Tomar, Minister of Energy, congratulated consumers on motivational works such as environmental protection and savings in accounts. Anup Kumar Singh, managing director of Madhya Pradesh Western Region Power Distribution Company Indore, said thousands of new consumers were linked to the scheme by fighting in 15 districts during the service festival. During this time, public representatives were notified and visual publicity was also done by vehicles. Singh said that until the last week of September, the number of people joining the roof of solar power in Malwa-Nimar crossed 42 thousand. The company’s total capacity of the net meter of the solar power exceeded 300 MW. Under the scheme, up to 78 thousand subsidy is given per consumer. He said the maximum number of consumers in the Indore city border, where 21,500 consumers are connected.
