Brandon Lake, Chris Tomlin and Phil Wickham to lead worship at Charlie Kirk Memorial in Arizona

Some of the most recognized artists of contemporary Christian music will lead worship during the upcoming memorial service for conservative activist Charlie Kirk. Christian artists to lead worship at Charlie Kirk’s Memorial Brandon Lake, Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham, Cody Carnes and Kari Jobe Carnes, are confirmed that they will perform at the event, according to the organizers’ website. Country singer Lee Greenwood, best known for ‘God Bless the USA’, and recording artist Steve Amerson, will join them. The memorial, entitled Building a Legacy: Remember Charlie Kirk, takes place in the State Farm Stage in Glendale, Arizona, on Sunday, September 21 at 11 o’clock local time. Along with the musical tributes, speeches are delivered by Kirk’s widow Erika Kirk, former President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and Staff Chief of White House Susie Wiles. The memorial is expected to draw thousands of participants, with worship and music forming a central part of the program in memory of Kirk’s life and work. Kirk, who founded the youth conservative organization Turning Point USA, was fatally shot on September 10 during a question-and-answer session at Utah Valley University in Utah. He was 30 years old. According to investigators, the armed man took a position on the roof of a campus building about 142 meters (130 meters) from the stage. The next day, 22-year-old Tyler James Robinson surrendered to the local sheriff’s office. He was formally charged with murder on September 16, with prosecutors announcing plans to pursue the death penalty, citing political motives behind the attack.
