New Delhi, October 18 (IANS). Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel expanded the cabinet in Gujarat. A total of 19 ministers took the oath on Friday. Rivaba Jadeja, wife of Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja, has been appointed Minister of State for the Ministry of Education (Ministry of Primary, Secondary and Adult Education). Ravindra Jadeja expressed confidence that the deficiencies in the field of education will be removed under the rule of this government. Ravindra Jadeja is very happy that this responsibility has been handed over to his wife Rivaba. He told reporters on Saturday, “I am very happy that my wife has been made the minister of the education department. I am grateful to the respected chief minister. The shortcomings in the field of education will be removed under the rule of this government. I hope that she will do an excellent job in the department she has been given and bring the name of the party and the Gujarat government forward.” Meanwhile, Rivaba Jadeja said, “I would like to ensure that whatever responsibility is assigned to me, I will try to fulfill that responsibility.” When Rivaba was sworn in as minister, Ravindra Jadeja was present with his daughter. Following this, Ravindra Jadeja in the social media platform ‘X’ post wrote, “Very proud of you and your achievements. I am sure you will continue to do great work and inspire people from all walks of life. I wish you much success as a Cabinet Minister in the Gujarat Government. Jai Hind.” It is noteworthy that Rivaba became MLA from Jamnagar North seat in Gujarat Assembly elections 2022. Rivaba won his very first election. Rivaba got 88,835 votes, while Karshanbhai got 35,265 votes. Rivaba contested the election on behalf of BJP and defeated his nearest rival Karshanbhai Patel (Aam Aadmi Party) by a margin of over 53 thousand votes.
