Sourav Ganguly re -appointed ICC Men's Cricket Committee | Mint
Sourav Ganguly was re -elected as the chairman of the International Cricket Board (ICC) Men’s Cricket Committee. VVS Laxman was also retained as a panelist, according to a statement issued by the sport’s global governing body on Sunday. Ganguly, 52 years old, who led India with a significant success from 2000 to 2005, first adopted the role of the committee chair in 2021 and followed Anil Kumble. Kumble has completed the maximum term of three -year term. Former cricketer Hamid Hassan, West Indian legend Desmond Haynes, South Africa’s test and ODI captain Temba Bavuma, and former England batsman Jonathan Trott join Ganguly and Laxman in the men’s committee. The ICC Women’s Cricket Committee was re-compiled with former New Zealand outside squad Catherine Campbell who was appointed chairman. The committee also contains former Australian cricketer Avril Fahey and Pholetsi Moseki of Cricket South Africa.
