Lahaul-Spiti defeated Kangra by 68 runs in the ongoing match in Luhanu cricket in the Inter District Under-16 cricket competition. On behalf of Lahaul-Spiti, Himanshu scored an unbeaten century in the second innings. On the third and last day of the match, Lahaul-Spiti started playing ahead by 131 runs for six wickets. Lahaul’s batsmen kept returning to the pavilion after another, but Himanshu held one end and scored runs. Lahaul’s second innings was reduced to 241 runs. Himanshu remained unbeaten after scoring 119 runs. In the second innings from Kangra, Akshit took four and Shaurya took three wickets.
Kangra needed 196 runs to win. Kangra’s team started chasing the target and the batsmen continued to be dismissed at regular intervals. Lahaul-Spiti bowlers did not give any chance to the Kangra batsmen to recover. Kangra’s team was reduced to 127 runs and Lahaul-Spiti won the match. Bhavesh Thakur scored 50 runs for Kangra. Naman Thakur took four wickets and Ayush took three wickets from Lahaul-Spiti.
