South-South cooperation has always been a priority for foreign cooperation: China

Beijing, May 31 (IANS). A ceremony was held in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund in the United Nations headquarters in New York. United Nations -based China’s permanent representative Fu Tsong said China appreciated the practical cooperation results supported by the United Nations Fund. He said that China is always strongly supporting the United Nations development pillar, true polymorphism, and prioritizing South-South cooperation in its foreign cooperation. He emphasized that China will always be a member of the global South family as the largest developing country in the world. The China encourages the fund to follow the basics of South-South cooperation and ask for stakeholders to create synergy by strengthening partnerships and making mutually beneficial and general victory results. Explain that the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund was established in 1995 and its purpose is to promote sustainable development and technology transfer by cooperating between developing countries and to help global Southern countries to deal with general challenges for developments.
