DM checked a judging meeting, fine about the registration in Gautam Buddha Nagar

Gautam Buddha Nagar, June 11 (IANS). District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma held an important assessment meeting in the Collectorate Auditorium on Wednesday for the effective implementation of Uttar Pradesh lift and Escalator Act-2024. Representatives from various resident welfare association and Housing Society of the district participated in this meeting. The district magistrate has made it clear that the registration of all lifts and escalators operated in the district is compulsory. He said that this law keeps in mind the public interest and security, and ensures that the elevator is executed safely. He also warned that those who were negligent or delayed in registration would not only be fined, but that legal action would also be taken according to the requirement. Additional District Magistrate’s Finance and Income Atul Kumar was present at the meeting, information on the most important provisions of the law to the delegates. He informed that it was necessary to follow the required documents, technical standards and deadlines in the registration process. All lift operators are informed about the law so that registration can be made on time. Assistant Director of Electricity Safety Ramesh Kumar said that by law, if a charge owner delayed registration, a delay fee will be put in place. He said that if the delay lasted 7 days, a late fee of Rs 100 per day, 8 to 15 days a day, 16 to 30 days would become a late fee of 500 rupees per day. The operation of the lift will be closed immediately with a delay of more than 30 days, and permission will be given to re -work after a late fee of Rs 10,000 is deposited. The district magistrate has called on the RWA representatives to provide information on all the acts to the citizens who live in their premises and to ensure regular investigation and maintenance of the elevator. He also said that security will not be compromised. The District of Panchayat Raj officer Virendra Singh and other officials of the relevant departments were also present at the meeting.
