Special programs will be held for two months under National Unity Day: Manohar Lal

Karnal, October 18 (IANS). Union Minister Manohar Lal visited Karnal, Haryana on Saturday. In the press conference held during this time, it was said that commemorating the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, National Unity Day, various programs related to national unity will be organized across the country. This program will be organized from 31 October to 31 December. He said that on October 25, 26 and 27, 8 to 10 kilometers long padayatras will be taken out in towns and cities, in which there will be wide participation of the youth, voluntary organizations and ordinary citizens. After this, ‘Run for Unity’ will be organized on 31 October. The Union Minister said the purpose of these events is to strengthen the sense of national unity, solidarity and patriotism among the youth. Youth are registered for the programs on ‘My Bharat Portal’. The Union Minister said that in the coming two months many events like seminars, exhibitions and literature distribution will be held through which the youth will be inspired by the life and contribution of Sardar Patel. Manohar Lal extended warm greetings to the people of the country and the state on Dhanteras, Chhoti Diwali, Badi Diwali, Govardhan Puja and Bhai Dooj. He said this festive season is a symbol of ‘harmony and unity’. During the press conference, the Union minister congratulated the Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini and the people of the state on the completion of one year of the third term of the Haryana government. He said that this government is living up to the ‘public trust’. He told that the Haryana government has recently increased the pension of old age by Rs 200 and under the ‘Lado Lakshmi Yojana’ the process of sending Rs 2100 to the accounts of women will start from November. The benefits of all the government schemes reach the people directly through DBT. The state is on the path of continuous development, and new plans will receive special focus in the coming four years.
