Owner Concerned About Leaving Dog Alone All Day—This Is How He Spent It – ryan

When these dog owners returned to the office, they installed cameras to keep an eye on their golden retriever, and the footage is everything you would expect.

For a long time, Daiana Kreiman and her husband worked remotely from their home in Miami, Florida. But that changed about a year ago when they both returned to the office full-time, leaving their 3-year-old dog, named Pumba, home alone all day.

While Kreiman told Newsweek that she wasn’t worried about him causing mischief per se, she was “concerned about how he would handle” being alone from 8.30 am until 6 pm.

“I never thought he would break anything or cry—he’s a fully trained service dog and has always behaved very well,” Kreiman said. “But it made me feel sad, so I installed cameras to be able to check on him.”

Many golden retriever owners might dread the thought of leaving their pups home alone for so long. But when Kreiman checked the pet cam of Pumba, she was left in hysterics.

He certainly wasn’t causing mayhem or tearing anything apart. Rather, he was catching up on some much-needed sleep in his owner’s bed instead. The only times he moved were when he was just readjusting his sleeping position.

This wasn’t just a quick power nap either, as Kreiman said he spends “about 80 percent of the time” sleeping on his owner’s bed while they’re out.

Kreiman said: “Every time I open the camera and see him peacefully sleeping with his legs stretched out, relaxed, it makes me happy. This is his space, his home, and he’s clearly happy there.

“He’s always allowed on the bed as we keep everything clean and wipe his paws. He usually asks permission before getting up, so when he’s alone, he’ll rest his head on the edge of the bed for two seconds as if asking someone and then climb up,” she continued.

After seeing the footage of Pumba’s hectic schedule, Kreiman shared a clip on his dedicated TikTok account (@helloimpumba). The video has delighted internet users, leading to more than 621,300 views and 48,500 likes on TikTok at the time of writing.

Alongside the footage of Pumba’s sleepfest, the TikTok caption jokes that he’s just doing “what any responsible adult would do” by taking over the entire bed with “zero regrets.”

Kreiman has been blown away by the response to the video since it was shared on April 7. She never imagined that Pumba’s relaxing day would make him such a social media sensation.

“On TikTok, I try to show his real life—his daily routine and what he’s really like as a dog. It’s amazing that when we’re not home, he truly acts like he owns the place—even though he has two huge dog beds of his own. The bed is still always his favorite spot,” she told Newsweek.

Social media users can’t get enough of what Pumba gets up to when he’s alone, leading to more than 90 comments on the TikTok video.

One comment reads: “Finally, some peace and quiet.”

Another TikTok user wrote: “Lying on the bed as if he worked a 12 (hour) shift.”

Another person joked: “What took you so long to leave?”

While another dog owner added: “I swear they wait for us to leave, so they can finally relax.”
