According to the news agency PTI, the Isro chief made the remarks on Sunday while addressing the 5th Convocation ceremony of Central Agricultural University (CAU) in Impal. V Narayanan reportedly said: “You all know about our neighbors. If we have to ensure the safety of our country, we must serve through our satellites.” “We need to monitor our 7,000 km sea trails. We need to constantly monitor the entire northern part. Without satellite and drone technology, we can’t achieve it,” the Isro chief said. India-Pakistan tensions The tension between India and Pakistani escalated after the Indian army operation Sindor launched on May 7, with nine terror sites in Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir (Pok) in Pakistan. The operation was a retaliation on the terror attack on April 22 in Pahalgam. After Operation Sindoor, Pakistan used crossfire and shot along the border regions in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat. The country allegedly tried drone attacks, which aimed to disrupt peace in the region. However, the attacks from Pakistan were largely neutralized by the Indian air defense system. At retaliation, the Indian army confirmed the destruction of 11 air bases in Pakistan and caused their military capabilities significant damage.
