Struggling in Kabaddi competition, college students clashed… attacked with boys
There was an uproar after the girls’ Kabaddi competition in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh on Friday. It is alleged that the girls from the losing team, along with some boys from their college, attacked the girls from the winning team. About four girls were injured in this incident. However, the college administration has denied any such incident. The incident took place during the Zonal Sports 2025 competition organized at a technical college in GIDA area of Gorakhpur. The last match of the girls’ Kabaddi competition was played on Friday evening around 4:00 pm. After the victory of one team, the girls of that college started celebrating the victory, then the girls of the other college attacked them. Four students were injured in the fight. It is alleged that the girls from the losing team along with the boys from their college attacked the girls from the winning team. About four students were injured in this fight. It was learned that two students suffered fractures in their hands. After the incident, the injured students were admitted to the hospital. After receiving information about the incident, the police began investigating the matter. No college filed a complaint. The relatives of the injured girls reached the hospital and admitted them to a private hospital. Informing about this, GIDA Inspector-in-charge said that after the Kabaddi competition, there was a fight between the students of two colleges. However, no complaint was filed by any college or the girl in this matter. If a complaint is registered, action will be taken accordingly. Zonal Sport 2025 was organized by Dr. APJ Zonal Sports 2025 is organized under the supervision of Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU). Students from 78 colleges of Purvanchal Pradesh participated in this sports competition. The participants took part in javelin, handball, long jump, high jump, volleyball, basketball, football, running and other athletic events.
