A shocking case came to light in the Raipur district of Chhattisgarh. A 21-year-old student from Nava Raipur-based Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology (iiit) was arrested by police for converting photos of dozens of girls students into obscene photos using AI instruments. According to police sources, the accused collected photos of the girl students who use different social media and online platforms and then converted them into obscene material using AI-based software. The intention was to spread these photos on the internet. Complaint and investigation when the girl students complained about this matter with the University Administration and police, a case was immediately registered with the Nava Raipur police station. Police seized the laptop and cell phones of the accused, which contain evidence of pornographic images and the software used to create it. According to police, the preliminary investigation found that the accused had changed and tried to abuse photos of several girls students. Identification and arrest of the accused: According to police in Raipur, the accused student is 21 years old and is studying in the same institute. During interrogation, he admitted to changing the photos of many girls students and spreading on the internet. Police said action was taken against the accused in the case in terms of articles related to IT Act, cybercrime and molestation. Response from University Administration The administration of IIIT Raipur responded strongly to the incident. The director of the Institute said: “We will not tolerate such crime. All possible help and security will be assured for the victimized girl students. This will be organized on the university campus with cyber awareness and safety workshops.” Cyber security experts warn that the abuse of AI instruments is increasing. He advised girls and youths to stay alert. “Be very careful while sharing your personal photos and data on social media.
