ChhattisGarh: Great success to security forces in sukma, four Naxalites of 20 lakh surrender
Sukma, April 4 (IANS). Security forces achieved a great achievement in the SUKMA district of Naxal influenced, Chhattisgarh. Four Naxalites that were active in the area surrendered. The surrender includes two women and two men on which the Chhattisgarh government declared a reward of a total of Rs 20 Lakh. The operation was successful with the joint efforts of 131 battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the anti -Naxal team. CRPF and local police teams performed this operation in a confidential way. Officials say this is an important step in the ongoing campaign against the Naxalites. Due to the surrender policy of the Chhattisgarh government and the pressure of the security forces, many Naxalites have left weapons in recent months. According to security forces, this Naxalite has long been involved in violent activities in sukma and surrounding areas. Naxalites who surrendered said they were fed up with the path of naxism. He decided to return to the mainstream after he was upset about violence and the difficult life in the woods. Naxalites also said that they now want to lead a peaceful life by becoming part of society. Home Affairs Minister Amit Shah said on April 1 that the Naxal problem had now come from 12 districts of the country to only six districts. He described Naxalism as the greatest enemy of democracy. He said that the Modi government wants to make ‘Naxal -Free India’.
