Kolkata, September 15 (IANS). The Minister of Union and MP Sukant Majumdar wrote a letter to the speaker of the Lok Sabha in which they made serious allegations. In this letter, he accused the police in Western Bengals of violating the protocol and contempt for the Parliament’s Parliament Private Committee. Minister Mazumdar claimed he was stopped on Monday while going to Kolkata Airport to leave the Prime Minister, while a state minister may go to VVIP holes without any obstacle. Sukant Majumdar wrote in the letter that on September 15, when he reached Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata, he was first stopped at the barrier. This action was done by sub-inspector and constable, while the vehicle of West Bengal Minister Sujit was allowed to be allowed to vvip Gate no. 4 to go without any interruption. The minister claimed that when he asked the policemen the reason for this discriminatory behavior, he was told that the action was taken on the instructions of the Police Commissioner of Bidhannagar Aishwarya Sagar. The minister says that this incident is not only a violation of his rights as Union Minister, but it also reflects the deliberate disregard for the state government against the central government. Sukant Majumdar, who describes it as a serious violation of the privilege of Parliament, requested the speaker to take the matter seriously and send them to the privilege committee so that proper investigation and steps can be taken. In the letter he also wrote that such an attitude by the state government officials is not only derogatory, but that it is also open to ignore the protocol between the center and the state. He said that it is not only a minister, but also an insult to parliament and democratic institutions. -Ians VKU/DSC shares this story Tags
