The Supreme Court on Friday (April 4, 2025) allowed the government of Jharkhand and its power distribution business to reduce the power supply on Ram Navami Optograms to avoid the incidence of electrical current. The Points of Court changed the leadership of the Jharkhand High Court in which civil servants were prevented from cutting power supply during religious marches. A Bank of Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar and Justice KV Vishwanathan noted the arguments of senior lawyer Kapil Sibal, who appeared with the JMM State Government that the practice has been underway to avoid the occurrence of electrical current for more than two decades.
