In addition, the Chief Justice also knows the view of his most senior colleague in the Supreme Court, which is familiar with the cases of the Supreme Court in which the recommended person works, and whose opinion is important to decide the candidate’s suitability. After receiving the recommendation of the Supreme Court Collegium, the Union legislation and the Minister of Justice will receive the opinion of the state government concerned. After receiving the views of the state government, the Minister of Law and Justice will submit a resolution to the prime minister, which will advise the president over the selection.
