On Friday evening, Ajmer ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau) stopped and searched the car of additional chief engineer of the municipal corporation Premshankar Sharma during surprise searches. During this time Sharma went to Kota with his wife. During the search, the ACB team recovered eight bundles of notes from his car, the total amount of which is said to be Rs 2 lakh 58 thousand 100. According to sources, when ACB officials questioned Sharma about the validity and source of the notes, he did not give satisfactory answers. On this, ACB’s Additional SP Bhagchand seized the amount as it was considered suspicious. Apart from this, the ACB also raided Sharma’s Vaishali Nagar residence but did not find any suspicious amount or other evidence there. ACB officials said that clarification is currently being sought from Sharma on the source of the notes and their validity. The ACB team is conducting a thorough investigation into this matter and further legal action will be taken if necessary.
