Rampur, October 11 (IANS). There are intense political activities in Rampur after the release of senior Samawadi party leader Azam Khan from prison. On Saturday, Rashtriya Shoshit Samaj Party (RSSP) founder and former Minister Swami Prasad Maurya Azam Khan’s home reached. He spoke to journalists and accused the BJP government of taking political revenge. Swami Prasad Maurya, while talking to journalists, talked about injustice to Azam Khan and accused BJP of extravagance motivated by political malice. He targeted the recent meeting of the SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. He described it as “crocodile tears” and said that SP Azam did not support in his difficult times. Maurya said: “I came for a formal meeting with Azam Khan. What happened to Azam Khan should not happen in a democracy. This is a bad spot on democracy. The atrocities committed by the BJP due to political malice is shame.” He also targeted SP that the party never supported Azam, which contributed to his grief. Maurya said: “Azam did a lot for SP, but was left in trouble alone.” Azam Khan’s son Abdullah Azam welcomed Swami Prasad Maurya, saying that this meeting is pleasant for the family and supporters. Let us tell you that the Supreme Court in Allahabad granted bail to Azam Khan in the quality of the land grab case, after which he came out of the Sitapur jail. This release brought him relief after almost 23 months of imprisonment. However, he is still embraced in many other lawsuits.
