Polri has a cheap market in Madiun spread 6 tons of rice
Jakarta – The Indonesian National Police (Polri) held a cheap market movement (GPM) in Lapak Kampiru, Kanigoro Village, Madiun City. A total of six tonnes of rice are distributed to suppress the inflation rate. This cheap market movement is the result of collaboration with the city government of Bulog and Madiun. The event was held at Lapak Kampir on Friday (8/8) and was attended by Irwasum Polri Komjen Poldedi Prasetyo, along with Mayor Madiun Maidi and Forkopimda. Dedi Prasetyo revealed that the national distribution performance was 310.25 tonnes of SPHP Bulog Rice in four regions, including six tonnes in Madiun City integrated into the cheap market program. The implementation of the GPM was performed with a 500 coupon scheme, which sells affordable commodity packages: six tons of rice, five tons of cooking oil and four tons of sugar. The realization of sales on the first day reached 250 rice packaging, 130 kg of sugar and 150 liters of oil. “It is a form of the National Police Chief’s policy to support the government through strategic synergy with bullog. We hope that national police will continue to work with Bulog in all cities/districts to maintain food price stability, oversee distribution and supplying important staples,” he said. He also emphasized the involvement of local Bumn and MSMEs as the backbone of inflation control on social protection. This collaboration was considered successful, characterized by the recording of all coupon packages by the community. “The cooperation of the National Police Bulog Pemda not only suppresses inflation, but also builds sustainable food security,” Dedi said.
