Pgims Rohtak started cashless treatment for victims of road accidents
Pandit BD Sharma PGIMS has started a cashless medical scheme, including victims of the road accidents will receive free treatment to Rs 1.5 lakh. The initiative started with the central government instructions, was by the PGIMS director, Professor S Singhal and the medical Superintendent, Dr. Kundan Mittal, inaugurated. Dr Pankaj Chikara, at the trauma center, was made the nodal officer. Professor Singhal, who describes the plan, said: “Victims of road accidents who reach the trauma center within 24 hours in Haryana will now receive free medical facilities to Rs 1.5 lakh. Under the scheme, when reaching the trauma center of the victim of the road accident, its details will be recorded on the e-portal and will be recorded like other patients. The transaction management system will prepare a unique patient that will be recorded in the file. Professor Singhal said: “After this, the victim’s information will be loaded to the software and will be sent to the police station in question for verification. The police will have to confirm within six hours whether the person is injured in a road accident or not. In the event of confirmation, the cashless treatment will be provided. He expressed the confidence that this initiative would be a great relief for victims and their families, which would ensure timely treatment without financial burden.
