Tata AIA has shocked over refusal to give the insurance amount, and the Consumer Commission was ordered to pay Rs 69.50 Lakh

The Consumer Protection Commission, while adopting an important order, ordered the insurance company Tata Aia Life Insurance to pay about 69 Lakh 50 thousand rupees to the successor to the inheritance. This decision came in the case in which the insurance company refused to pay the insurance amount, even after death within the insurance period. What is the matter, complainant Saurabh Vaishnav, resident Nariara (Tehsil Malkharoda, District Sakti) filed an application to the commission, saying that his father Sham Das Vaishnav had taken a smart defense policy of Tata AIA. The duration of this policy was scheduled from August 23, 2023 to August 23, 2063. Shortly after taking the policy, the insured died. After this, Saurabh Vaishnav contacted the company for the insurance amount, but the company refused to pay. He hurt it and took refuge in the Consumer Commission. After hearing the commission’s case, the commission acknowledged that this attitude of the insurance company was under the category of unfair trade behavior. The commission ordered the insurance company to pay an insurance amount of Rs 68 Lakh 40 thousand, Rs 10,000 in the case and Rs 1 Lakh as spiritual compensation. In this way, the total amount is made about 69 lakh 50 thousand rupees, which will have to pay the insurance company as soon as possible. Why did the company refuse? According to the information, the insurance company raised technical objections to reject the claim. The company said this amount is not worth giving in terms of the policy rules. But the commission rejected the company’s argument, saying that the insurance company is fully responsible in the case of death during the policy period. The message to consumers sent a message to consumers that if the insurance company does not follow the policy conditions or refuses to refuse arbitrarily payment, justice from the Consumer Commission can be obtained. Legal experts’ opinion legal experts believe that this case will become a Nazir for thousands of consumers who are often victims of random insurance companies. There will now be pressure on insurance companies not to repay the amount on time in the event of claim and do not violate the client’s rights. Share this story -tags
