Congress raises questions on Bihar's revised voters list claims a lack of transparency
Patna, October 8 (IANS). The congress raised serious questions about the transparency of the Special Intensive Review (SIR) of the Voters lists by the India Electoral Commission (ECI) before the upcoming Bihar meetings election. In a letter to the Electoral Commission, the party claimed that the Electoral Commission, despite repeated requests, did not provide a machine -readable version of the updated voters list, making any independent analysis extremely difficult. The letter states: “Despite several requests from the congress part, the Electoral Commission did not make the readable selection list available, which made any analysis of the voters list very complicated. Finally? List published by the Electoral Commission has 7.42 Crore-registered voter-attributes 30 lakh less than the number of registered voters in the 2024 attract Sabha election.
