Emperor Akbar prepared for Holi during the year
Hindus celebrated a trending that Holi prepared all year long, Emperor Akbar Akbar, Holi. Hindus had complete freedom to celebrate all the festivals under the reign of Akbar. On the day of Akbar Holi, the emperor met the ordinary people in Diwan-e -a -am and four. According to historian Ashirvadi Lal Srivastava’s book ‘Akbar the Great’, Holi was played with color, rose water and perfume of Tesu flowers in Diwan-e-eam. The women of Haram, including Harkha Bai, were prominent, played with colors and shared the happiness of the festival. Harkha Bai and other queens celebrated Holi as well as Shivaratri and Diwali. These festivals also included Akbar and enjoyed them with him. The famous Krishna -devoted poet Rasakhan of Akbar’s time also called Holi. His lines show how popular Holi was at the time.
