Maharashtra: an accident due to thunderstorm in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, 11-year-old girl dies

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, May 22 (IANS). A tragic accident occurred due to thunderstorms in the Kannada city of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district Maharashtra. The wall of an old and dilapidated house in the Bazaarpeth area suddenly collapsed and fell to the tin -house built nearby. In this accident, the Sheikh family who slept in the teen’s house was buried in the rubble, in which 11 -year -old Ayesha Sheikh died on the spot. Four other family members were injured. According to local police and eyewitnesses, heavy rain started with strong wind late Wednesday night. During this time, an old home in Bazaarpeth area, which was already in a scabby state, suddenly collapsed. The wall of this house fell at the roof of the Likh roof of the Sheikh family nearby. At the time, five family members Ashfaq Sheikh, his wife, Ayesha and two other children slept in the house. The whole family was buried in the rubble due to the wall collapsing. When the people around the sound of the house wall heard, the people ran for help. Local people immediately began an effort to evacuate the family trapped in the debris. After hard work, four family members were evacuated from the rubble, but Ayesha could not be saved. His breath stopped as she removed her from the rubble. Among the injured, it is said that Ashfaq Sheikh’s son Rizwan’s condition is critical. He was admitted to the Valley Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to first aid, where he underwent treatment. The other three injured in the family, Ashfaq, his wife and another child were discharged from the Kannada rural hospital after first aid. The condition of the injured is said to be stable. Police began investigating the accident. Initial investigation revealed that the collapse of the wall was the result of a dilapidated home and strong thunderstorms. The local administration has ordered a survey of other old and unsafe homes in the area to prevent such incidents in the future. This accident has increased a wave of mourning in the entire Bazaarpeth area. The locals demand from the administration that immediately against dilapidated buildings should be taken immediately. The Kannada Municipal Council assured the victim’s family of all possible help.
