Aadhaar update is over! Uidai brings an app that is updated in one click from the name to the number
As part of a large digital initiative to make Aadhaar -related services easier, the Unique Identification Authority of India (Uidai) begins a new mobile application. This app called ‘e-seed-hair’ enables citizens to update important personal information such as name, address, date of birth and cellphone number from their smartphones. This app is designed as an all-in-one platform to make the cumbersome process of Aadhaar update easy. According to Uidai sources, this new app will make many changes in Aadhaar by the app. Users can make most of the changes from afar through long queues and paperwork, a user -friendly interface. Only biometric updates, such as fingerprint and iris verification, should go to the base centers for verification. Verification will be done by AI and databases for the government. An important feature of this new app is that it will integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and Face ID technology to provide safe, distance access to Aadhaar services. This method of digital identity is expected to provide strong protection against ease as well as identity fraud. This app will automatically be able to receive assistant documents from the Government -verified database. This means that the details offered by the user can be verified using data from sources such as PAN data, Passport Office, Driver’s License Register, PDS ration card system and MNRega records. Utility bills such as electricity bills can also be accepted for verification of the residential address. Why is this app important? This initiative is part of a widespread attempt to streamline and more accessible by UIDAI and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (Meity). Recently, the government also launched the ‘Aadhaar Good Governance Portal’, which aims to speed up the Aadhaar verification request. For more than 130 million base holders in India, this new mobile application can be a major change, especially for those living in remote areas or who do not have an Aadhaar center in the area.
