Bengaluru, May 31 (IANS). Many homes collapsed due to constant rain in the Yadgir district Karnataka. During this time, about nine homes were damaged. The deputy collector visited the village affected by rain on Saturday. The deputy collector met the victim’s families and assured them of compensation. At the same time, a team including District Collector, SP and Zilla Panchayat, CEO of Pagalpura, visited. Deputy Collector Dr. Sushila B. responded to his tour and he said that nine houses in the Yadgir district were damaged. The roofs and walls of these houses collapsed, all houses suffered damage. The grains held in the houses were damaged. People have had problems due to weakening everywhere. The deputy collector said that according to the rules of the Response Force (SDRF) of the state disaster, the families of the victims will be reimbursed. He said that the towns of Yaragol, Pagalpura and Ulllesugura were visited. The rain was found to have done a lot of damage to the houses. During the rain, the roof of Arna Gowda’s home of Pagalpura town collapsed. The family stayed outside the house at night. Fortunately, the family did not face any dangerous situation. He said the roof of the house was falling when Erna Gowda and his wife were outside the house. Due to the collapse of the roof, the grains were held in the house and the everyday items were destroyed. He said that the house’s roof was made of land.
